Day 1
 

Qutub Minar

Morning after breakfast, straight drive to Qutab Minar. This magnificent structure is located at a small village called Mehrauli in south Delhi. Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty built this huge towe in 1199 AD This monument used to be the landmark of delhi.It is made of fluted red sandstone with 72.5 metres hight and fully carved with the theme of holy Qurran.

Here one can also find the huge Iron Pillar which was raised in memory of the Gupta King Chandragupta The IIND or Vikramaditya.

 
Chattarpur Mandir

Chattarpur Mandir is one of the most popular Hindu temples in Delhi. This Temple complex is just 4 kms from Qutb Minar. Here one can view the classic example of modern temple architecture. The main Temple is dedicated to goddess Durga, and others of Shiva, Vishnu, Lakshmi and Ganesha.

 

Tughlakabad

After that drive to Tughlakabad Fort which is just 10 km from Qutab Minar. Tughlakabad fort has fortified ramparts, underground chambers, tall gateways and towers. One can ejoy the prominent structure of Ghiasudin's Mausoleum whiich was built with marble and red sandstone.

 

Humayun's Tomb

Next place to cover is the Humayun's Tomb. It is one of the famous archiyechtural site which was designed by Persian architect Mirak Mirza Ghiyas. Even people say that The Taj Mahal has been inspired by Humayun's Tomb.

 

Nizam-Ud-Din Shrine

After lunch, visit to the tomb of the famous sufi saint Hazrat Nizam-ud-din Auliya. Inside the premises there is a tank, the tomb of Amir Khusru and the grave of Jahanara, the daughter of Shah Jahan.

 
Lotus Temple

After that drive to The Bahai Temple is populary known as Lotus Temple for its shape.This is one of the three lotus temples in world.It was Built by the Baha'i community between 1980 and 1986.It is a very recent architectural addition in Delhi.

The whole structure is made of marble, cement, dolomite and sand.It contains nine pools and in the middle, its the lotus shape temple which is an ideal place for meditation.

 
Dilli Haat

Evening vsit to Dilli haat which a shopping centre with tradiional environment. Here one can find all the handicrafts, souvenirs and food items of all states of India.

 
Day 2
 
Purana Quila (Old Fort)

Morning after breakfast, drive straight to Purana Quila or Old Fort. This huge fort was Built by Humayun and modified by Sher Shah Suri. People can also find the old structures of Indraprastha, the capital of Pandavas of Mahabharata.

Now in one part of this huge fort, there is the national zoological park is there which is also worth to visit.

 
India Gate

Then drive to the famous India gate, which was built in 1911 in memory of 90,000 soldiers of Indian Army died in World WarI.

 
Jantar Mantar

After India Gate, drive to Janthat Mantar. This astronomical observatory was built by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Jaipur in 1725. Here one can find the sun clock and the and the towers which can predict eclipses and other movement of solar system.

 
Birla Mandir

The Laxminarayan Temple is called the Birla Mandir, which was built by the industrialist Raja Baldev Birla in 1938. This temple contains a large garden, fountains and idols of several deities.

 
Jama Masjid

After lunch drive straight to Jama Masjid. This Mosque was built by Shahjahan in 1658. It is the largest mosque in India with a seating capacity of more than 20,000 people.

 
Chandini Chowk

Chandini Chowk is just next to Jama Masjid which is a colorful shopping center and the biggest whole sale market in Asia.

 
Red Fort

Then visit to the Red Fort, which was also built by Shah Jahan in 1639, when he finaly decided to shift his capital to New Delhi from Agra. In evening the tour will end up with the Sound and Light show in Red Fort which will narrate and show the importance and the places like Diwan-e-am, Diwan-e-Khas, Rang Mahal, Hamam, Moti Masjid and The Mina Bazar.
